The Oakland University Alumni Association (OUAA) Black Alumni Chapter is an unincorporated, non-profit, volunteer-based chapter of the Oakland University Alumni Association. It exists to enrich and engage the lives of African American alumni, students and friends to promote Oakland University and foster a culture that advances diversity, equity and inclusion. The Oakland University Alumni Association (OUAA) Young Alumni Chapter is an unincorporated, non-profit, volunteer-based chapter of the Oakland University Alumni Association. It exists to inspire young alumni to be lifelong Golden Grizzlies through OU pride, active engagement, community involvement and recognition activities. More information.
The Oakland University Alumni Association (OUAA) Board of Directors exists to enrich and engage the lives of alumni, students and friends to promote and advance Oakland University. This volunteer advisory board helps shape the future of alumni engagement at OU and strives to be representative of the entire Oakland alumni population. The board provides counsel and advice to the Office of Alumni Engagement and the University Advancement division, as well as the President and other members of university leadership. Established in 2013, Leadership OU provides leadership, mentoring, and networking opportunities for undergraduate students by connecting them to successful OU alumni through two main methods -- an exclusive series of alumni speakers and a formal mentorship program. Participants are part of a cohort experience spanning an eight month period from September to April. Upon successful completion of the Leadership OU program requirements, students receive a diploma frame. Watch the Leadership OU video to learn more. More information.
